As 2024 draws to a close, it’s time for a quick update on what’s happening at Teach Me About Property (TMAP) before wrapping up. With so much achieved this year, it’s also a chance to reflect, plan ahead, and set ourselves up for a strong start to 2025.

Key Dates for the End of 2024

The TMAP team will officially finish for the year this Thursday, 19th December, with a half-day followed by our team Christmas party. After that, the team will be taking a well-deserved break until the new year.

For students, this means all regular activities and support will pause from Thursday, 19th December, and resume on Monday, 20th January 2025. However, some skeleton staff will be available from 6th January to handle urgent matters.

If you have pressing needs during the break, you can send an email, and someone will get back to you. But for most students, it’s full steam ahead from the 20th of January, with group follow-up sessions and a fresh round of learning and action.

Final Week Hustle: Don’t Miss Your Deadlines!

Many of our students are finishing the year with a bang, still closing deals, signing contracts, and getting deposits sorted. If this is you, there’s no time to waste. Here are a few key reminders to help you wrap things up smoothly:

• Ecosystem Shutdown: Most solicitors and brokers will finish work by Friday, 20th December, and won’t return until mid-January. While some may trickle back from the 13th of January, expect most to resume work from 20th January 2025.
• Get Deposits Paid: Avoid leaving payments or contract signings until the last minute. If you have deadlines looming in late December, like the 23rd or 27th, now is the time to act. Nobody wants the stress of scrambling during the holiday season.
• Plan for Time Off: With the ecosystem winding down, it’s better to have everything finalised now so you can enjoy a relaxing Christmas and New Year with family and friends.
